Check-in at the harbour

Check-in closes 15 minutes before scheduled departure, so we recommend you arrive at the harbour early.

Blue lane is for cars that are max. 6 metres.

Yellow lane is for cars over 6 metres, trailers, caravans, motorcycles, disabled cars or passengers using wheelchairs or with reduced mobility, bicycles and anyone paying with cash.

Green lane is for customers who want to buy a ticket in the harbour with a bizz from EasyGo.

• Drive towards the blue sign.
• Follow the instructions on the machine's screen.
• The machine will print your ticket and any vouchers for pre-ordered food and shopping.
• The barrier will then open and you can now drive to the designated lane.

Please note: Check-in closes 15 minutes before scheduled departure, so we recommend you arrive early at the harbour.

Checking in at the harbour with your license plate is quick and easy.

All you need to do is register your licence plate when you book a ticket at scandlines.com or in the Scandlines app.

Check-in with your licence plate:

• Drive towards the lane with the blue sign. Here your car's licence plate is automatically scanned.
• Confirm your booking at the machine.
• The machine will print your ticket and any vouchers for pre-booked food and shopping.
• The barrier will then open and you can now drive to the designated lane.

Please note:

• Check-in closes 15 minutes before scheduled departure, so we recommend you arrive early at the harbour.
• You can only register your licence plate if you drive a passenger car and are travelling between Puttgarden and Rødby.

• Drive towards the yellow sign.
• In the yellow lane, an employee will check you in and print your ticket and any vouchers for pre-ordered food and shopping.
• The barrier will then open and you can now drive to the designated lane.

• At least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure, drive to the yellow lane where a staff member will be waiting.

• Board the ferry in the same way as the cars by following the staff's instructions.

You must be on the gangway at the entrance to the ferry at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure.

It takes approximately 5-10 minutes to walk from the gangway hall to the gangway, so we recommend you arrive early at the harbour.

• Go to the gangway building.
• In the gangway hall, scan your ticket at the entrance to the gangway.
• Then take the stairs up to the gangway, where you board the ferry directly.

It is important that you are on the gangway at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure.

In Rostock:

• At least 30 minutes before scheduled departure, drive to the yellow lane where a staff member will be waiting.
• Board the ferry in the same way as the cars by following the staff's instructions.

In Gedser:

• At least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure, drive to the yellow lane where a staff member will be waiting.
• You can board the ferry in the same way as the cars by following the staff's instructions.

In Rostock:

Check-in closes 30 minutes before scheduled departure, so we recommend you arrive early at the harbour.

In Gedser:

You must be on the gangway at the entrance to the ferry at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure.

• Be at the Fährcenter building min. 30 minutes before scheduled departure.
• Take the bus from the bus stop in front of the Fährcenter building to the gangway.
• At the gangway, a gangway guard will check your ticket at the entrance to the ferry.
• From here, you board the ferry directly.

In Gedser:

• Go to the gangway building.
• In the gangway hall, scan your ticket at the entrance to the gangway.
• Then take the stairs up to the gangway, where you board the ferry directly.
