Disability cars and passengers with reduced mobility

We’ll help you board the ferry in the yellow lane.

Are you driving a handicap car with an original handicap sign? Or are you travelling with a person with reduced mobility? We'll try to find an optimal parking place for your car on the ferry.

How to check-in

  • Arrive at the harbour well in advance – preferably 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
  • Drive to the yellow lane which is manned.
  • In the yellow lane, we can find the best way for you to board the ferry and get up to the ferry’s passenger area.

Note: In the harbour, you can’t go to self-service check-in in the blue lane, if you during ticket booking marked that one or more persons in your car have reduced mobility or use a wheelchair.

How to get onboard the ferry

To make your journey as easy and comfortable as possible, we always try to position your car close to the ferry’s lift and other accessibility facilities.

Note: On particularly busy departures, we may not always be able to provide the passenger assistance requested as part of your ticket booking. This is because the number of spaces with easy access to the lift and other accessibility facilities is limited.

If this happens, we will of course transfer you to the next available departure where we can provide the same assistance. This allows us to ensure that you receive the support you need and enjoy a comfortable journey with us.

Passenger assistance in yellow lane

Request passenger assistance when making your booking if you or a fellow passenger has reduced mobility. As availability is limited, we recommend arriving at the port well before departure and proceeding to the staffed yellow lane.
